Listers,

As to my other post concerning the birthplace of Charles A. WHITNEY,
son of Augusta/Augustas/Augustus A. WHITNEY, I have now found

Hoosiac, Franklin Co, MA (I think near North Adams, MA.)

and the aforementioned

Hoosic, Franklin Co, NY (Rennsalaer Co?)

I know the state boundary changed at some point between MA & NY, but
I'm not sure exactly when. Are these two towns one and the same
places? Any help would be appreciated.
