The Ira Whitney I am looking for was born Apr 26, 1861 in Franklin, Oh and died Feb 22, 1953 in Toledo, Oh. He had 3 children, Roy, Howard, and Ralph. He was married to Mallinda Elizabeth Whitaker. The information I have on Ira's father ,Elmer Whitney, is vague. He was supposed to have been born in 1830 in PA. and his wife may have been Sallie Snell. As you can see what I am hoping to find from Ira Whitney is more info on his father Elmer.

Dear Stephen:

You didn't mention the status of the person named I. Whitney in that Census.
Was he the head of household? -- in which case, is he married and are there
children? Was he a child in the household of someone else? -- in which case,
have you looked at the 1900 census for the same location, to see what he
turns into later? What is his age in that census? All of these pieces of
information would help someone else zero in on a way to assist you in your
search.
