The Bowdoin, ME, Vital Records that appear on the WRG website show the birth
of a Peggy (Standard familiar name for Margaret) Whitney to Benjamin and Mary
(for which Polly is the standard familiar name), as having taken place on 9
Feb 1804.
I have no information on whom she married, but there doesn't seem to be
anything in these Bowdoin records we have transcribed to help with this
question.

The same set of records shows the publishing of the intent to marry of
Benjamin Jr., of Little River Plantation, and Polly (see above) Varnum "of
B.", on 12 Nov 1795, entry taken from the Town Record of Topsham. All of
these records for Bowdoin were published by the Maine Historical Society in
1944.

Happy Hunting!
