Hi Angela,
Welcome to the Whitney Research Group!
I am forwarding your information to the Whitney-L list, where
someone may be able to help you in tracing your line.
The official purpose of theWhitney Research Group Reunion 2002 is
to share information on the scholarly research of the Whitney
family and to allow opportunity for the members of the Whitney
Research Group to get to know one another better. Each of the major
branches of the family, John and Elinor, Henry, the Southern
Whitneys and the Canadian Whitneys will be explored in some respect.
There are many "unconnected" Whitneys who are looking for just
how they fit into the tree. You will need to figure out how you
fit in to the family, or you can remain as an "unconnected" .
All are welcomed to attend the Reunion. I am hopeing that there
will be workshops for every level of researcher, and all should go
home having gained new knowledge and having made new friends.
I hope you can make it !
thanks, Carolyn
ps. My dad is John Whitney, too!
