Hello Sharon,

I must start of by saying that I have absolutely no knowledge of
passenger lists, and have never looked at one. But, yesterday I was at the
National Archives in Washington, D.C. researching Whitney Civil War pension
files. I have used these files for years, and was pleasantly surprised to
see that the microfilms of the pension indexes had been relocated and
reorganized for easier use. I also noticed, and took time to peruse, the
file cabinet next to the pension file indexes, which was their collection of
microfilm of passenger lists. I noticed that it not only contained ship
arrivals, but also border crossings. The lists seem to be arranged by port
of entry and date. Since you have both, it seems like an easy look-up. This
is said by someone who has never researched a passenger list. However, I am
into new experiences, so I will volunteer to try to look this up for you. I
will not return to the Archives until probably December. I will gladly put
it on my list of things to do there if you want. I have no other suggestions
for a solution.
By the way, I would like to put in a plug for the National Archives.
With the revival of great interest in genealogy, the Archives has responded
with great improvement in the accessability of information available to the
general public. What used to take many hours now can take only minutes to
accomplish. What a great use of our tax dollars.

would I go about finding the passenger list for that ship? Thank you for any
help.
