I am searching for information regarding this John Whitney. He is my 2nd great grandfather. He was born the 22nd of January 1780, possibly in Onondaga County, New York. He married Rebecca Blodgett on the 29th of January, 1805, in Onondaga County, New York. Rebecca was born the 22nd of November 1785, in Whitingham, Vermont. This line of John Whitney and Rebecca Blodgett has been confirmed by NSDAR, through Rebecca. I am interested in determining the parents of this John Whitney. I have information that suggests that his parents might be Joshua Whitney and Hannah Green. Joshua was born 27 November 1748 in Killingly, Conn. He married Hannah on 20 March 1771. They had nine children born between 1773 - 1791. Their fourth John was named John and would have been born about 1780. Joshua is the son of Thomas Whitney and Elizabeth Boardman. Any information that would assist me in tying these families together would be appreciated. I will certainly share information regarding my lin!
