Can anyone verify or add more information to the following?
Thank you very much.

Julia Ann Whitney of Hallowell, Kennebec, Maine

Born: Jan 1834 (probably Kennebec County, ME)
Died: aft 1900 (probably Howland, Penobscot, ME)
Married: Russell Phillips 27 Sep 1852, Gardnier, Kennebec, Maine
Children:
1. Lizzie Phillips, b 1857
2. Julia E. Phillips (died 18 Sep 1861 at age 1yr. 4mo. 10d.)
3. Etta J. Phillips, b Mar 1862
4. Charles B. Phillips, b 1864
5. William R. Phillips, b 1867? Note: The Gardiner, Kennebec County Maine,
Birth & Death records 1800 - 1892 indicate that a Willie R. Phillips, son of
"R. & J. Phillips" died on 31 Aug 1861 at age 3y 10m 9d (i.e., he was born
22 Oct 1857).
6. Herbert L. Phillips, b June 1871

Julia Whitney's father may have been Reuben Whitney, b abt 1804, perhaps in
Litchfield, Kennebec, ME. Her mother was Mary ____ ?, b. abt 1802. Her
sisters were Tryphenia (Tryphena), Sarah, Mary and, perhaps, Eliza. Her
brother was William.

Mary ____ Whitney (mother), Tryphena, Julia, Sarah, William and Mary all
show in the 1850 Census in Hallowell.....but no husband/father.

I believe that a Reuben Whitney (b possibly May 1, 1804) married a Mary
______? (b abt 1802) in or around Litchfield, Kennebec, ME - this from the
LDS records indicating the parents of Willliam Whitney (b 5 Dec 1835,
Litchfield, ME) and Mary W. Whitney (b 26 Sep 1842 Litchfield, ME) to be
Reuben Whitney and Mary _____?. This coincides with info from the 1850
Census as to these children's ages. This Reuben Whitney apparently was the
son of Reuben Whitney and Mercy Baker (again, LDS records). That would make
him the older brother of Amos Whitney (who married Lydia Smith - the sister
of Drucilla Smith, who was the second wife of William P. Phillips, father of
Russell Phillips, who married Julia A. Whitney - apparently this Reuben's
daughter, i.e., Russell Phillips apparently married his father's second
wife's niece. Kind of ties together.....

There is a Reuben Whitney shown as living at a broading house in Augusta in
the 1850 Census (at the same time as Mary ___? Whitney and her children are
living in Hallowell). No age is given in the Census for this Reuben, and no
definite match cannot be made.

Marriage Records of Gardiner, ME state that Julia Whitney was "of Hallowell"
at the time she married Russell Phillips.

Julia Whitney Phillips and Russell Phillips may have lived in Richmond, ME
approx. 1861-1865, as he reported Richmond to be his hometown when he
enlisted in the Union Army.

After her divorce from Russell Phillips, Julia Whitney remarried to William
J. Day (b. abt. 1831) on Jul 31, 1884.

Julia is listed in the 1900 Census (as Julia A. Day) in Howland, ME, living
with her daughter, Etta, and family (but I can't read Etta's husband's
name).

Any information would be most appreciated. Thanks.
