Although Fred Farnham Whitney's book on the Tunbridge,Vermont Whitneys has much wonderful and correct information he made an error in my Whitney line. He has Rosa Goodale as being married to James Pierce Whitney,son of Joseph and Caroline (Pierce) Whitney.Her name was not Rosa Goodale. It was Rosina Goodell. I know this to be true because she was my gg grandmother.Not only do I have it on authority from my grandmother but I also have a copy of my great grandmother's marriage license. On this document it states that my great grandmother,Zina May Whitney's parents were James Pierce Whitney and Rosina Goodell,both of whom were born in Tunbridge,Vermont according to the marriage license and also according to my grandmother. Family oral history does say that Rosina's nickname was Rosa. I have a couple of photos of her and also of her daughter,Zina, my great grandmother if anyone is interested I'd be happy to e mail them to you. Also if you're interested in the Goodell line I've!
