Dear Roberta: I am a northern transplant, since my parents (and Whitney ancesters) were from Massachusetts. Although I do not have any family members from Virginia or N.C., I will forward your message to our Whitney Research Group in case someone else finds a connection.

Subject: unconnected whitneys
Hi: Just noticed your address in NC. Have been searching for a Louise Diana Whitney born Richmond, Virginia but have found zero Whitneys in Virginia. Was beginning to think the source incorrect (there are Whitneys in Richmond, Australia). However I realize Va. is close to NC?? Also she gave birth to a son in Boston in 1884 which points to USA. Anyway it is just a line from an old Baby book which led me to ask if you know any Virginians of this name. Thanks. Roberta Hall
