Hello Robert,

I can offer no evidence in this case. However, Whitney was no stranger
to this family. Nathaniel Whitney (John1, Benjamin2, Nathaniel3, Nathaniel4)
married Phebe's sister Hannah. McLellan's History of Gorham, Maine dates the
marriage 3 January 1733/34, but no place is mentioned. I know that this Day
family appears on page 2 of the book Descendants of William Day and Dorothy
Littlefield, but I don't believe I photocopied the information, so don't
know if it would be helpful to you. Good luck.
