On March 5th I fell, injured myself, and ended up spending some time in "The
Big House". I nearly went stark raving mad with genealogy withdrawal. I
joked with a friend to please just read me the Social Security Death Index
or the 1900 census records over the phone to get me through.
I returned tonight and discovered so much going on with the list.
Tim Doyle has done so much on the website and work with the census records,
and now a new project underway.
Robert Ward with the Pierce error project.
Add Allan Green and his unending search for answers and this group is truly
blessed.
Let's not forget Jon Aston who maintains the submitted Whitney database.
We have not only the 4 gentlemen I mentioned, but so many others with
knowledge on various topics, family lines and general information.
I am a "listowner" for 9 small surname lists, and I participate in many
others. None compare to WRG. Even the surnames that could potentially have
an equally excellent participation and expertise levels are nothing more
than surname lists.
I have been a member of this list for over 5 years now and I thank EVERYONE
for their contributions.
I am looking forward to meeting you all at the reunion.
