Dear WFG

Thanks to the kindness and patience of John WHITNEY of
this group I was thrilled to receive an email today
from a fellow descendant of Richard WITNEY & Mary
DIMMOCK of Oxf, which contained the following details:

> William WITNEY bapt 11 Feb 1781 married Mary
> NARROWAY 1803 and had nine children. Lucy was the
> youngest and married Francis
> CHOWN. Edmund ( 1809) and his brother John ( 1807)
> were two of her elder brothers . John was married
> firstly to Leah STEVENS in 1831 and she died the
> same year.
> He then marr Patience WILDER as you know.
> Edmund marr Elizabeth RATLEY (RATCLIFFE in some
> records) dau of Benjamin and Ann nee WHITE. Banns
> read in Chinnor 1806 but marr not found. Elizabeth
> had two sisters Lydia and Rachel.
> William ( 1781) was son of Richard WITNEY and Mary
> DIMMOCK marr. 1762 in Chinnor. The marr. is
