See <http://www.whitneygen.org/archives/extracts/pierce/p176-180.htm#P1038>;
for the father. I believe the son Jacob-7 WHITNEY was the one who married
firstly, 20 Feb 1806, Harvard, MA, Mercy Fairbank-7 WHITNEY, his first
cousin, as recorded in the Harvard Vital Records (for which, see
<http://www.whitneygen.org/archives/vitals/mass/harvard.html>;).
There were a four children recorded for them in the same records. Then she
died, and he married secondly, 7 Jun 1823, Harvard, Hannah-6 WHITNEY of
Bolton, a fourth cousin once removed and also fifth cousin. They had two
children recorded in Harvard. She died, and he married thirdly, 2 Jun
1839, Harvard, Elizabeth GATES. I don't have death records for either him
or his third wife.
