I believe the Joshua Whitney mentioned would be the one b. 1737, d. 1809, & m. Mary Clarke. Not quite sure who Benjamin Jr is, offhand. -

his homesite was on what is now Millbury St, opposite Cambridge St. He was very active at the time of the Rev. War

p. 144 Benjamin Whitney Jr
Rev. war soldier. The ruins of his former home were still standing [ as of 1931] nr Chester St, on Winter Hill. His home was, at some time after his death, occupied by Josiah Goddard
