I need help identifying the Samuel Whitney who entered Norway, Maine in 1838. Info found in list
of "Norway Maine Immigrants 1801-1851" in "A History of Norway Maine from the Earliest Settlements to the close of the year 1922", Charles F. Whitman.
No one has been able to pinpoint the death date of my ancestor Samuel(Abner, John, Isaiah, Thomas, John), nor has his grave been found. His death has been list by Pierce as Sept 25, 1835, but the DAR Patriot Index says ca 1837.
