Dear Susan: I have searched my databases and can't pinpoint your Jabez Whitney. I will pass this information along to the Whitney Research Group in case he rings a bell with someone there.
There was a Jabez Whitney b. 7 Jun 1793 in Hinsdale, Berkshire Co., Mass. He was the son of Jabez and Experience (Fairbanks) Whitney. Unfortunately I have no further info.
Thanks for sharing this info. We'll see what surfaces.
