Dear WRG:

This seems to be the Julia Emerson who married William-8 Whitney on 7 May
1840 (that's what's in the DB, no place or source cited)

William-8 Whitney, b. 22 Jul 1809, Ashburnham, Worcester, MA, (VR, p. 85),
son of William-7 (Capt. Silas-6, Lt. Samuel-5, William-4, Nathaniel-4,
John-2, John-1) and Lucy (Brooks) Whitney (m. 24 May 1808, Ashburnham, VR.
pp. 103, 164). Lucy Brooks, b. 17 Oct 1781, d. of Simeon and Lucy
(Whitcombe) Brooks (Ashburnham VR, p. 17).

Further ancestry information is in the db and I can provide sources and some
additional data upon request. I haven't gotten this far in my project to
find and identify sources for much of the material in the database.
