I would think that having it in the city would be nice for everyone, but
bear in mind, Washington DC is one of the hottest, muggiest places in
the US in the summer -- so you want a place to stay that is air
conditioned, has a swimming pool and a comfortable place to eat. We
held a wedding at the Women's Democratic Club in DC in August several
years ago. It has a catering space in the basement, and a first floor
like a luxurious house. I could find out the name of the caterer, who
was not particularly expensive. However, we had about 120 people, which
may be a lot larger than our reunion would be Our daughter did all the
work on this and would know. It is in the DuPont Circle area where there
are a lot of hotels and restaurants. Most hotels have meeting space.
Also Phi Beta Kappa may have some small meeting space which they would
rent out.
