Carolyn,

How about SLC, UT? Since Sarah Ann Whitney m. Heber C. Kimball there are a
lot of Whitney descendants here in the area.

Subject: [WHITNEY-L] Whitney Reunion 2004

Since no one has jumped in to spearhead the WRG Reunion 2004, I
thought I'd throw out a suggestion. How about a less
structured Whitney Research Group Reunion 2004 ? We would need to
agree on a location and then anyone wishing to attend could make
their own reservations.Meals could be on our own. There would
have to be someone in charge of the Reunion to make the final decision
on location and date, but the lectures and side trips could be at
each individuals desire. Presentations could be informal, no
schedule of events like we had before. If someone could suggest a
resort, or Bed and Breakfast or some place that had about 20 -30
rooms then folks could make their own arrangements for the
weekend. Our presentations and activities for during the day could be
informal. No scheduled lectures or pre planned trips like we had
last time. This would reduce greatly the amount of work for the
organizer.

I am not volunteering to head this up, and understand
completely why no one is jumping in to volunteer! As one of the
organizers of WRG Reunion 2002, one big regret I have is that
I was so busy during the weekend that I didn't have time to
really sit and chat with WRGers attending.

Any interest out there in a WRG Reunion 2004?
