The diary was also edited and published in 1974 and covered the years 1726?
- 1755 and has *lots* of Whitney references. I included a few excerpts in
my Bruce line http://webpages.charter.net/mroman/bruce.htm#Abijah3 so you
can see how detailed (and amusing) some of the entries are. The American
Antiquarian Society in Worcester, MA and the Westborough (MA) Public Library
have the entire diary on microfilm. Westborough also has the older
published diaries on hand for the years around 1777-1780 or so. It's a
fantastic resource! Some day when I have more time, I want to go through
the microfilms for 1755+.

Greetings WRG,
The following is a brief outline of a diary having references to the Whitney
surname. It was generated upon my request by a N.B. researcher having
possession of the book, and forwarded to the WRG as sketched. It may offer
a snapshot of an ancestor at a different time and place as diaries and
journals so richly do. The book is "The Diary of REV. EBENEZER PARKMAN OF
WESTBOROUGH,MASS." published 1899 (1737 Feb., Mar., Apr., Oct. & Nov.),
Nov. & Dec. of 1778 and the years of 1779 and 1780.
