Hey, Allan!
I found this site called "OneGreatFamily.com" that suggests that my
Silas Whitney may be another son of Jacob Whitney and Lois Hapgood.
Jacob would have been 56 yrs. old and Lois 41 yrs. old. My Whitney was
born in 1792 and died 1820 making him 28 yrs. old. He married a young
bride in 1817 to Mary Wheeler, b. 23 July 1803, and had a son named
Alonzo Well Newcomb Whitney, 27 Dec 1818. Any possible chance this
could be correct??? I'll take your word over this site on what you can
dig up because you have been doing this a lot longer than I have.
