Hi,
I'm sure someone might have a link for you. You can get some Civil War records from the National Archives. I think it is called NARA? Try a google or yahoo search for it. There is a form you fill out, and a fee, and they will photo copy what they have and mail it to you.

Would someone please help me find the civil war record for my ancestor Martin Green b: 1823 in NY. Family moved to WI before 1850 and stayed there.
1860 census has Martin living in Washington, Sauk, WI.
1870, 1880, 1900, still living in the same place.
