Hi John,

If your great grandfather had property larger than 5 or 10 acres, it would
show up on a plat map. There is a partial Calumet County plat map/atlas
online here:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~calumet/18.htm.

Take a look and if your section is provided, you may find it. If not, I can
check next week at the library I work at. Just let me know what section
you're looking for.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend everyone!

Angie

Message Board Post:

My great grandfather, Frederick Bloy, emigrated from Prussia to Calumet
County in 1874 and purchased a farm shortly thereafter. I have determined
in which section the farm was located but not which part of the section.
Can anyone tell me what kind of record might have a more detailed
description of the boundaries of his farm and where I might find such a
record?

John S.
