CHARLES PIPER, FORMER RESIDENT DIED DEC. 27

Charles Piper, aged 82, passed away last Wednesday, Dec. 27 at Oshkosh after a long illness.
Deceased was born in the Town of New Holstein in 1851. He was a resident of Chilton for 40 years. After the death of his wife seven years ago, he spent the most of this time with his son, Milton in this city.
Survivors include seven children, Oscar of Milwaukee; John of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Mrs. Clara Bross, of Fond du Lac, Emil of Green Bay; Milton of New Holstein; Mrs. Edith Miller, Milwaukee; Mrs. Vernon Mertens, Detroit, Mich; and five grandchildren and one granddaughter.
Funeral services were held in Chilton, Saturday afternoon from the funeral home. Interment was in the Hillside Cemetery.
Those from away attending the funeral were Henry Pfund of Sherwook, William and Lucille Rudolph of Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson, Mrs. Emma Wicks of Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Piper and family, Mrs. Albert Schneider, Mrs. Richard Daun, Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Kuehl, Mrs. John Seurer all of this city, and Mrs. Gust. Conrad of Green Bay.
