Here are 8 generations of my W-d-n-r genealogy. I have 6 later generations
if anyone is from this same line.

6. William WIDNER was born in 1760. He died on 31 Mar 1822 in Oxford,
Sussex Co, NJ.
He was married to Anna WIRE in 1781.
He was married to Elizabeth HAUCK/HOUCK in 1791.
9. John WIDNER was born in 1772 in New Jersey. He died on 27 May 1839 in
Charlotteville Twp, Ontario, Canada. He was a Farmer. He was buried in
Windham Cemetery, Ontario. John Widner/Widener emigrated to Canada from New
Jersey prior to 1800, and settled near Simcoe, where he was a farmer. He
served in the war of 1812 on the side of the British and was taken prisoner
by the Americans and confined at Greenbush. He escaped by digging under the
wall and made his way to New Jersey where he spent some time with his
relatives. He afterwards returned
to Canada to find that during his absence two of his children had died. He
is listed as one of the Long Point Settlers, the first group to settle in
this part of Canada.
Records of this branch were made by Miss Sarah A. Widner, Aylmer (West), Miss
Orpha V. Widner, Toronto, and Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Widner, Simcoe, Ont.
Some of these descendants pronounce the name "Widner" and others "Widener."

LAUR was born on 6 Jul 1798 in Fort Erie, Ontario. He died on 16 Dec 1871.

He was a deacon in his church, a man of wealth and influence in his time, and

Ontario. He was buried in Old Windham Cemetery. Baptist, but attended
wife's Methodist Church. Died at Maple Grove Farm.
He was married to Mary Jane MOORE (daughter of Solomon MOORE and Elinor
STEVENSON) on 27 Dec 1835 in Malahide, Ont. Canada. Mary Jane MOORE was born
on 16 Feb 1811 in Pelham, Ont, Canada. She died on 27 Dec 1877. Mary Jane
was from Malahide. She was Methodist. Nesbitt Culver WIDNER and Mary Jane
MOORE had the following children:
