In 5-1866 in the West Eau Claire Argosy paper there is an article about McCarty & Charmichael installing a new pool table in their restaurant. Florence McCarty is my gggrandfather & he is listed as a hotel keeper on the 1870 W. Eau Claire census. I think the hotel was at 434 Hudson St. which would have been in the middle of the street. Got this from someone who did a lookup for me. Was wondering if anyone had or knew of any old pictures of the area in that era. Thanks...
