there are MANY levels of information on this website...
if you are a german researcher, it is a must....
do not dismiss the information if you notice BUFFALO...
the happenings to these people would have been duplicated in many other areas....
the commentary herein could be leads for your search in the areas where YOUR people ended up....or in route to that area....
but as new arrivals, the BUFFALO happenings would have been representative of other areas....

also,
buffalo was an erie canal point...
the terminus for many traveling from the EASTERN SEABOARD
and the beginning of a great lakes journey for others...
there was always the possiblity that your people stayed in this town before continuing onward...
perhaps to be with some family or perhaps to MAKE SOME CASH money,
to learn a little about the country before heading westward...
