Kenosha Evening News Dec 15 1905
Tony Fenuto and Phinney Presto,
to Italians emplyed in the blacking room at the
Allen Tannery,
were seriously injured when both men fell into a
kettle of boiling water.
Before they could be rescued
they have been fearfully burned about the limbs.
Fenuto had stepped off a table into the vat
not knowing of its presence.
A minute later his shouts for help were heard by Presto,
and he ran to the rescue.
He crawled up on the table
and in attempting to save the life of his fellow countryman,
he lost his balance and also fell into the kettle.
