The name Lafayette was used by the WILKINSON family of Monroe and Barbou Co.,
AL. lots of other families used it too. Some of the Monroe Co. bunch went to
East Texas, Sabine County area. Do you know anything more about where the
parents came from?
There are at least 3 WILKISON families that came to Texas FROM aLABAMA and we
can't connect them. YET! In fact, they may not connect. However, I'm
forwarding your query to my cousins list. If you think it would be worthwhile
to be on that list let me know. I could add you to the address book. We are
looking at the WILKINSON's in AL and, as I said, some of those moved to Texas.
