Great to hear from you. My great, great, Grandfather was Joseph Malveurn
Willey. I have the family bible of Joseph and Harriet "Hatti" Willey. I
have been quite intrigued by Hatti and have been unable to trace her line
back any. All I know is that her father was killed in Missouri by
"bushwhackers" during the Civil War. Most actions by the Confederate
"bushwhackers in Missoure took place between 1861-1865, as far as I can
tell. There were many atrocities committed against the civilian population
in Missouri during the Civil War and I tend to think her father was probably
a civilian that was killed when she was very young. My information says
Hatti was born in Missouri April 20, 1864.

Joseph Malvuern Willey remarried Mary Elizabeth Church June 22, 1909 at her
home in Williamsport, Tennessee. I wondered if her resided with her there
awhile as son Charles died in Nashville, Tennessee, October 1, 1918 at the
age of 18. All the other children married in Olkahoma. My records also
indicate that Joseph Malvuern died in Corpus Christi, TX. but was buried in
Bridgeport, OK. At the time the family moved to Oklahoma, 1987-1900,
Oklahoma had opened the Indian Lands for settlement and these are the dates
for the Oklahoma Land Rush. Bridgeport, OK, was not established as a
township until 1911 and is now classified as a GHOST TOWN in Oklahoma. I
have been in contact with some individuals there and plan to make a trip to
do further research and visit the cemetery.

Any information about Orem, McFarlin, Phillips would be greatly appreciated.
Delphina did remarry to James Moad, they had 4 children, 3 died. James Moad
would have been the only father that Joseph M. knew as his father John died
when he was only 2.

I'm very excited to hear from you. Do you know where Black Oak, Missouri
is? Is there a cemetary there? I assume it is close to Cowgil as one of
Joseph and Hatties children was born there. My records that the Moads had a
private cemetary on their land.

Can't wait to hear from you.

Dena
