Carol can sure get the list crankin', can't she? ;-) For the roll call:

I haven't been able to determine the parents of the four brothers mentioned
in the subject line. Three were born in North Carolina, one in South
Carolina, from 1790 to 1802. William R. Williams and likely Elijah served
under Captain Isaac Williams in Colonel Newton Cannon's Second Regiment of
Mounted Gunmen, Tennessee Volunteers, in the War of 1812. I strongly suspect
this Isaac (born circa 1774) was a relative of the brothers, possibly an
uncle, and I'm focusing current research on that war and NARA. After the
war, all four brothers moved into Alabama for a while, mainly Greene and
Pickens Counties, finally settling in Mississippi--Elijah (my line) in
Noxubee County, and the others in Choctaw. Captain Isaac Williams followed
this same immigration pattern.
