Hello. I'm researching Wilson's from Pike Co. Mississippi. Rodolphus Wilson
is the first one of mine I can find. I NEED HELP, PLEASE !!
Rodolphus (Roe) (R.D.) Wilson

(Tiny) Williams b.4-12-1849 d. 10-6-1921
the first record i have of
Rodolphus was where he joined the Confederate army in April of 1861, in
Holmsville, which is in Pike co, Ms. He fought in the 16th Ms. infantry,
which was in the Army of Northern Virginia, under Gen. Robert E. Lee. I don't
know why he came back to Pike Co. but he did and in Dec. he married Hazeltina
Williams. She was the daughter of Neiheimah Williams, who had several sons,
which two or three fought in the war. If he knew any of these sons i don't
know. Rodolphus died when he was killed on May 24, 1876. I can't find out who
his parents were, but rumor has it they came from New York state.
