This Wilson line is that of my deceased husband.

The probate of JOHN McELROY WILSON is noted in the Probate Court Records -
Wills: Estate Stttlements: Deeds: 1835 Tax List - 1840 Census compiled by
Mrs. R. W. (Lillian) Mickel.

On Page 54 of that publication:

"1866 - JOHN M. WILSON, dec. Heirs: JOSEPHINE BLAIR, wife of R. D. BLAIR,
State of Tennessee; WILLIAM N. WILSON, ISOBEL BLACKARD; NARCISSA WILSON;
AMANDA WILSON; J. F. WILSON; ADELIA WILSON; EMMA WILSON."
(Isabel married Hezekiah Blackard, and I also have a picture of her).

I have a copy of Bible Records that pertain to both the Wilsons and I believe
the Blair descendants.

In her pending publication on first 1000 landowners of Greene Co., Mo., Marsha
Hoffman Rising, in an article about ARTHUR DAVIS and wife MARY WILSON, stated
that JOHN M. WILSON left Johnson County. This is NOT correct. He died right
there. If you are interested I can send you a copy of my response to her.

JOHN M. WILSON was the son of JAMES WILSON, b. 1773 in Ky., d. 1857 in
Washington Co., Ark., and buried in Old Mt. Comfort Cemetery west of
Fayetteville, and MARGARET McELROY, daughter of SAMUEL McELROY and MARY IRVINE
(if my memory serves me correctly--I can verify this). I also have a picture
of old JAMES WILSON, as well as of his son ALFRED M. WILSON (who was the first
mayor of Fayetteville, and who served in the Arkansas legislature for many,
may years. Also have copies of MANY old letters written by Alf to other
family members. Brother JOHN M. WILSON is mentioned in several of them.
