Hello,

I have PULLEN/PULLIN in Lyneham, Brinkworth, and possibly Christian Malford,
Wilts.

1. James PULLEN (1758/9-1843) married Hannah LARGE (1753-1822) at Lyneham on
14 May 1789 and had issue at least a daughter Elizabeth PULLEN
(1792/3-1828), and likely other children baptised in or nr Lyneham. They are
all buried at Lyneham. See Mandy and Duncan Ball's excellent Wiltshire
parishes website ofr MIs.

2. John PULLEN (1788/9-1867) married Elizabeth LARGE (1788-1857) at Lyneham
on 25 April 1831, but it seems unlikely that they had any children together.
Also buried at Lyneham.

3. Edith PULLEN/PULLIN (1772/3-1841), sister of James above, married Stephen
SUTTON on 30 Nov. 1801 at Brinkworth. See Clive Henly's Brinkworth data on
the web. Her MI at Lyneham courtesy of Mandy and Duncan Ball.

http://www.oodwooc.co.uk/ph_ly-g5.htm (Mandy and Duncan Ball's Lyneham data,
part)

Due to the proximity of their graves at Lyneham, I think it likely that 2
was the son of 1 above. My LARGE family were much intermarried among
themselves, and I am my own cousin many times over (as of course we all are,
though not always traceably). I have not had access to Lyneham's registers.

BIVRI, 2nd edn, shows the following baptisms which may be for 1 and 3 above,
and their siblings, viz.:

Message Board Post:

I am very interested in the PULLEN Family Tree. My Great Grandfather was
Alfred Pullen of Calne Master Baker. His father was James Pullen born around
1811. In the 1851 Census his place of birth is given as Pewsham, but in the
1861 Census it is given as Pewsham.

I am convinced that AMbrose Pullen who farmed in Glos. (Age 40 in 1851)
could be a brother as he was also born in Christian Malford. I think that
there is a tie up between the PULLEN Family in Calne, Christian Malford,
Sutton Benger, Chippenham and Wickwar & Stroud Glos.

I have hit a total stumbling block so would be most gratefulo for any
information you can send including a GED File. LIewise, I will send you any
info. on my own family.

Hope to hear from you very soon.
