Looking for information on August Sievert, b. about 1824in Germany. The

Sievert’s manifested were listed in the following family groups.
Nationality was listed as German for all, no state or village was listed

and the destination for all was simply USA. This information is from
"German's to America", Vol. 32, page 290.

The first family group:
NAME AGE SEX OCCUPATION
JOHANN 32 M FARMER
MATHILDA 26 F WIFE
BERTHA 2 F CHILD
FRITZ 11/12ths M INFANT

The second family group:
NAME AGE SEX OCCUPATION
AUGUST 52 M FARMER
LOUISE 52 F WIFE
ALBERT 26 M FARMER
MATHILDA 26 F WIFE
LINA 26 F UNKNOWN
AUGUST 3 M CHILD
ANNA 11/12ths F CHILD

The "Italy” arrived in New York City on 26 April 1876.

My husband’s ancestor is Albert Sievert, b. 01 December 1851who married
Mathilde Caroline Dorothy Popp, date unknown. They had 6 children that
are known: Note the spelling changed to Severt from Sievert.
August Fredrich Severt b. 01 February 1873
Anna Rosaline Severt, b. 30 January 1875
Gustav Heinirich Wilhelm Severt, b. December 1879
Otto August Albert Severt, b. 03 January 1882
John F. Severt, b. 28 January 1884
Marie Severt, b. 26 August 1887

According to the History of Wood County, Albert Severt and Matilda
(Popp) Severt came to America in the summer of 1875, (the Italy arrived
in New York in 1876) and after two years at Kiel, Wisconsin the family
moved to Auburndale Township, Wood County, Wisconsin. Surnames related
to this family include but are not limited to:
Ahlmann, Ashbeck, Diem, Gauger, Grube, Kotlow, Mews, Popp/Poppe,
Schroeder, Schultz, Trapp and Sommerfeld.

I have an abundance of information on Sievert/Severt and a goodly amount

on the other surnames. I am interested in communication and sharing
with anyone who may be associated with these families.

Joyce Severt
