So many postings and still no luck. Still hoping to connect with someone
who can help me with the above James Fitzpatrick, Pamelia/Permelia Busby
Fitzpatrick and Sarah Drake Winfrey Busby. Sarah was the widow of Elisha
T. Winfrey when she married Matthew in 1821 Adair Co., KY.
I estimate that James was born ca 1820's, maybe in Adair Co, KY. He
married Pamelia/Permelia T. Busby, d/o Matthew Busby & either 2nd wife,
Sarah Drake WinfreyBusby or 3rd wife, Mary Polly Fair Busby, all of
Adair Co. According to copies of Matthew's 1850 Adair Co land deeds,
James was deceased by 1850. Pamelia/Permelia is shown on those documents
as the widow of James Fitzpatrick. As far as I know, they did not have
any children.
Pamelia/Permelia was born in 1828 in Adair Co, KY. Unless Matthew and
Sarah Drake Winfrey Busby had divorced before then, or unless Sarah
"Sally" had died before then, Permelia was their daughter. If Matthew
married 3rd wife, Mary Polly Fair Busby before then, she would probably
be Polly's daughter.
Pamelia/Permelia was listed living in the household of William Jackson
Drake and wife, Nancy T. Busby Drake on the 1850 Adair Co, census.
According to my info, Nancy T. and Permelia were half sisters. In June
of 1853, Pamelia/Permelia married Joseph Evans Winfrey in Carroll Co,
MO.
Sure could use some help with this. My main interest is in learning
dates, parents and locations for James Fitzpatrick and
Pamelia/Permelia....and especially HER MOTHER, Sarah/Sally Drake Winfrey
Busby.
Can anyone connect?
Paula
