The best way I've, IMHO, to search is to go to
http://www.google.com
Just now, I searched on "winter genealogy" and "winters genealogy" and came
up with many hits on each one. Examples:

Raimund Winter
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Acres/4444/winters.html Descendancy of
James Monroe Winters
http://www.jennywinter.co.uk/ Hibbert & Winter Genealogy
http://www.mwsoftware.com/history/ Winter-Hickert Genealogy Site
http://www.concorde.demon.nl/dewinter/
There are many more. Secondary searches would be by individual name(s) --
such as, "david winter genealogy" or "david winter caroline crouse" As you
know, with a surname like winter(s), you will get a lot of hits referring to
the season "winter" if you don't also include the words genealogy, family,
history or a given name.

Each site usually has a contact listed, so you can email the site author.

Of course, list members should also make you aware of sites they run across,
so they could be included in your project.

the I have been asked again about the possibility of family sites MYFAMILY.
How does one find out which WINTER or WINTERS sites there are? How does one
then make contact with the site administrator? I adminster the SHANK Family
web site at MyFamily; however, I don't know how to research and contact any
other site administrators.
