Found for $1 at a thrift store: "Challenging Years: The Autobiography of
Stephen Wise," (New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons), 1949. The biographical
note at the front of the book says "Stephen Samuel Wise was born in Budapest,
Hungary, on march 17, 1874. ... His father, Rabbi Aaron Weisz, was himself
the soon of a distinguished chief rabbi of hungary, Joseph Hirsch Weisz."
Anyone researching this family can adopt the treasure for the price paid
