Hello Listers:
The main focus of my research is on the
McCleans of Pennsylvania (Adams, York
Fayette and Washington counties)

John McClean b. 26 Dec 1733 near
Philadelphia (moved with family to Gettysburg area in 1738) md. Jane
Witherow 6 Dec 1757. She was b. Dec
1732 d. 23 July 1785 Adams Co (then York Co) Pa and is buried in the
Marsh
Creek Presbyterian Cemetery near Gettysburg. John McClean died 12 Sept
1807 in Hamilton Ban Twp Adams Co Pa
and is also buried in Lower Marsh Creek
Presbyterian Cemetery near Gettysburg.

This couple had eleven children, one of
whom also married a Witherow:

Sarah McClean b. 26 May 1771 in Adams
Co Pa md. John Witherow. No other info
on him nor any of their children.

Also, Moses McClean's (brother to John McClean mentioned above)
daughter,
Rachel McClean b. 14 April 1763 in
Adams Co Pa d. 5 Oct 1825 bd Marsh
Creek Presbyterian Cemetery md. Samuel Witherow. No date of birth or
marriage for this couple except he died
27 Jan 1832 and is also buried in Marsh
Creek Presbyterian Cemetery. I do not
have a list of their children.

Hoping that someone on the list may be
able to connect to these McCleans. Am
especially looking for the parents of the
Witherows I mention as well as any children any of these couples may
have
had.
