LaVera A. Korb
LaVera A. Korb, age 75, N2681 Rustic Dr., Clintonvillc, (Clover-leaf Lakes), died Saturday morning, June 1, 2002, at the Shawano Medical Center.
LaVera was born on March 16, 1927, in Marion, the daughter of the late Ben and Amanda (Krause) Dieck. She was raised in Marion and in 1944 became a graduate of Marion High School. LaVera became employed as a First Aid Assistant at the FWD Corporation, Clintonvillc, for several years and also worked at the Clintonville Transfer Line. On Aug. 7,1948,
she became united in marriage to Lowell Korb in Marion. Theco'uplc lived in Clintonville until they moved to the Township of Bear Creek, Waupaca County, where LaVera and Lowell operated Korb Oil Company. LaVera served
as bookkeeper. Lowell preceded his wife in death on March 18,1974. LaVera continued to live in the Township of Bear Creek until 1997 when she moved to her present home at the Clover-leaf Lakes. She was a member of the St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville, where she belonged to
the Ladies Aid, the Sewing Bee where she made quilts, and the Shepherding Leaders Committee. She also was active with the LutheranThrift Shop, Shawano, and with the Meals-On-Wheels program.
LaVera was a very caring person who will be missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include: her two sisters. Shirley (James) Walters, Necnah, and Ardys (Arrnin) Schmidt, Marion; two brothers, Gerald (Dorothy) Dieck, Marion, and Norman (Margaret) Dieck, Marion; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine (Andrew) Pockat, Marion, and LaVeme(Roger)Wochinske, Green Bay; her brother-in-law Orvin (Joyce) Korb, Clintonville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and her husband Lowell, she was preceded in death by her brother, Howard. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, at the St. Martin
Lutheran Church, Clinton-ville, with the Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Interment was in the Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home, Clintonville, is assisting her family with the arrangements.
