Hi All,
I am still trying to track down the birth of my g grandfather. His name was
William Ellis, his parents were John and Sarah. All were born in Wales, Sarah
was born around 1820 and William was born around 1855. William gave his birth
place as Bangor (no luck there with his certificate) then on the 1891 census
, he gives his place of birth as Menai Bridge. I have looked and there is no
William Ellis born there in 1855 but there are Williams born in Llanyllin,
Pwellheli,and Ruthin that year.
Does anyone have access to the 1861 census who would be willing to look him
up for me?
