Dear Ms. Griffiths,
I wonder if there might be some connection between our families. So
many of the names -- first and last -- are similar. We have a lot of
Catherines in the family (including myself). The earliest family history
record I have is a marriage record in 1838 between Catherine Pierce and
William Parry, my great great grandparents. They were married at Llanbeblig
Church. The record lists his father as David Parry, a smith who lived on
Pool St. in Carnarvon. Her father was Griffith Pierce, a stone mason who
lived at Smithfield in Carnarvon. Do any of these names show up in your
research? In addition, Catherine and William immigrated to Brooklyn and my
great grandfather, David Elias Parry, was born there in 1847. Catherine died
and William left for Australia, leaving David with an uncle. The name that
has shown up most in family stories is a John Parry.

Does any of this fit?

Kate Parry
