Just to add to Angharad's comments, Twrgwyn was purchased by the English
Baptists, who were at nearby Penrallt Chapel. At a time when most churches
and chapels in Wales seem to be in terminal decline, it's curious that the
English Baptists are thriving and have large congregations.
They have thoroughly refurbished the old Twrgwyn, including the extensive
schoolroom, thus providing the local Upper Bangor community with a new
meeting place. The stonework of the fine classical facade has been cleaned
and looks like new.

Just to let you know the chapel has not been demolished , just that the CM
chapel closed down and the Welsh Presbyterian churches in Bangor all joined
together to form a new church in a new building and Twr Gwyn was sold to
another denomination or sect
