I can't remember which list it came up on recently but thought this item
from the latest Dyfed FHS journal would be of interest.

In the context of an early day motion to obtain the early release of the
1911 census - which failed to make any ground in the House of Commons
recently.
The bit that's relevant is where it says;
"It was possible, following concessions announced in 1972 and 1989, for
limited information to be released from the 1901 census to direct
descendents and next of kin for family history purposes ........ there are
no plans for similar concession relating to the 1911 census."

No wonder we couldn't find any reference to it on the PRO site.
