I certainly think that Halloween, etc. are appropriate topics for this list.
For myself, my Welsh family has been American for several generations, and I
therefore do not know how holidays were/are celebrated in Wales, and I would
like to know. I think such celebrations are part of the culture, religious
and historical, and often political, of a country and correspondence about
them belongs on this and other lists.
