The nearest that I can find in the Merioneth Marriage Index is this one in
Llanycil, which looks quite promising:

7th July 1778 Robert Evans Single of Llangywer Married Jane Lewis single of
Llanycil by Licence.

The Licence is preserved in the National Library:

St Asaph 1751-1800 Number 95/3.
LEWIS, Jane, sp., Llanycil, MER. 1778, Jul 5. At Llanycil. Robert Evans .
