Hi to all,
I have John & Jane Evans with a family of 11 children.Jane b.1825, John b.1826.Humphrey b. 1828. Ellen b. 1830, Cadwaladr b. 1831, Evan b. 1833, Hugh b. 1835 Hannah b.1839 Anne b. 1841, Margaret 1843, Rebecca b. 1846.
On LDS records all these children born prior to 1837 christened Capel Celyn Calvinistic Methodist, Llanycil, Merionethshire.Other children on free bmd, Bala registration.
Father John Evans b. about 1797. Mother Jane Evans b.1802 at Ysptty Ifan.& died 23.3.1877. They moved to Coed y Mynach & then to Penbryn Fawr about 1829.Apparently they were 1st. cousins. (all this info. passed down from an aged aunt in Wales).
From the 1881 census I found 2 unmarried brothers Cadwaladr & Evan Evans living Penbryn Fawr, Llanycil, Merioneth, sons of John & Jane.
My direct line is from Humphrey b. 1828. He married Ann Williams & 1st. child Margaret b. 1854.I found them in 1871 census Lanfor at Coed Y Mynach.
I cannot find any record of their marriage.Could anyone advise or help with this?
Also would love to find out more about the parents John & Jane Evans. I have searched all Genuki census records without success. What area would they be recordedin?I would appreciate any suggestions or help.
Regards Fran.from a sunny but very dry Queensland. Aust.
