Barbara,

From what source did you obtain the baptism information for your Joseph
DAVIES? Can you give us the full context of the entry and where it came
from? I'm curious to know how it was put that both parents "came from
Llandinam".

If both Joseph DAVIES and Elizabeth MORGAN were baptised in Llandinam, you
should access either the original PR (NLW, Aberystwyth) or a microfilm
(Powys County Archives) or the Bishop's Transcripts (again, at the NLW, also
microfilmed by the LDS and available through the nearest LDS Family History
Center).

I could not find your Joseph DAVIES or his father in the area in the 1851
Census. Do you have any census entries showing your Joseph DAVIES?

Regarding the 1837 website you cited, please note that it will only contain
images of the *indexes* -- not the full information as on a b/m/d
certificate.

Please reply back to the list so everyone has a chance to make suggestions.

Regards,

Julie Preston

Grandfather Joseph Davies was baptised at Llanwnnog on April 9th.1820. His
parents were Joseph Davies (spinner, by trade) and Elizabeth Morgan who were
not married at the time. Both came from Llandinam. Can anyone tell me where
I might find details of their births, or a possible marriage after 1820? I
would be grateful for any help as I have hit a brick wall with this.

the Births/Marriages/Deaths in England & Wales from 1837 to present day.
