Could someone tell me please if there is a formal order to the Welsh Naming
system for Sons. My Gr-Gr Grandfather was named Hugh THOMAS his sons were
John THOMAS, Thomas THOMAS(My Gr-Grandfather and also was known as Thomas
HUGHES) , Hugh THOMAS . Then the sons of Thomas THOMAS in this order were
named ..........John HUGHES, William HUGHES, Thomas HUGHES(Grandfather) and
then Hugh HUGHES. So this brings me the the Question.....Is there any
special order that sons were named for.........like for instance firstborn
after father or Grandfather? Am just trying to piece together things and
would appreciate any help one can offer on this.
