That's amazing...you mean the guy's name is "Woolever Shepard" or "Shepard Woolever"?
Connecticut is where my Shepard's came from. They were all only male families; ie, my father was an only child, his father was an only child, his father was an only child...and then John W. Shepard, b. 1 Oct 1833 in Hartford, Connecticut...he showed up in the 1850 census living in Beloit, WI with another family...so, I have nothing past him. I don't know who his siblings were or who his parents were. Maddening!
